![]() And the provisions your consortium generously prepared for my sister have served me well on the road. ![]() Your journey has not been an easy one, I am sure. There is nothing to forgive, Sister! I heard of the archbishop's affliction.terrible news, that. Pray forgive me for ending our first meeting so abruptly. Remember Mattias, that man from Chapter 1 who randomly showed up to offer supplies for the Pilgrimage? He's back!Īh, Sister Ophilia! It has been far too long since I saw your lovely face. I feel like these games are much more tactically interesting when all your party members are balanced in terms of levels.Today we'll tackle Ophilia's Chapter 3, which means we return to Goldshore.Īfter that, I can return at last to Flamesgrace and cast my ember into the Great Flame. But that's the thing.I really dislike having 3 characters serving as underlings to a more powerful character. As you say, you could keep the others underleveled to balance things out. I'm not saying having your main character higher leveled than the others would necessarily make the game easier. Maybe stealing some better gear would have helped too, admittedly. Trying to beat him at lvl 18 was an exercises in futility lol. I had to grind to level 20 to finally be able to beat the boss (recommended lvl 22). I was planning on grinding as little as possible, but just realized now, after beating my first Chapter 2 boss, that level requirements are more than mere suggestion. I'd rather grind at strategic locations than be continuously interrupted by random encounters. I'm mostly playing the game with Evasive Maneuvers on except for when I want to grind to reach the minimum level requirements (or get closer to it). ![]() I've finished the other characters' chapter 1 so that I can use them for their path actions if necessary. I am playing the game with Cyrus (main), H'aanit, Ophilia and Therion. I feel like these games are much more tactically interesting when all your party members are balanced in terms of levels. ![]() Really feels tacked on at the last second.Ĭlick to expand.I'm not saying having your main character higher leveled than the others would necessarily make the game easier. Personally don't really care about character banter as it seems mostly shallow and pointless the way its implemented here. Really don't understand why more money and effort isn't put into better storytelling in rpg's. The stories are also not very deep and mostly cliched. Then again I'm always critical of unnecessary dialog. Like every other thing said is the "." dialog prompt and much of the dialog seems to just repeat itself. My only gripe isn't necessarily the stories, but IMO there is way too much dialog that serves no purpose. Only times I died was by random encounters in areas where I was way too under leveled to be in. Mine is way over leveled and most chapters she's been way over the recommended level while the rest of the characters in the party are way lower, but I haven't had any issues so far. I really wish it allowed you to swap out your main character though. Collected all the characters and then did each chapter 2 the same way. I just followed the order using the recommended level it shows on the map.
